Time to Pause & Heal?

How do you know when you’re simply doing too much?
That you’re putting too much strain on your mind / body and currently on a pathway to ill health?- that you have read this far tells me you’re probably just waiting for that clear STOP sign to make you prioritise you.

Well guess what - you don’t need someone else to actually tell you when to stop. You don’t need to wait for people to ask if you’re ok, or wait for someone to arrive in with a superhero cape ready to pick up your huge to-do list. Here's something you may not realise...when you allow yourself time for self care - it actually boosts your energy & productivity, which will actually help you see clarity in what actually needs to be done and define a plan to mange your essential tasks!

You yes YOU just need to stop neglecting yourself. There is no badge of honour for burn out, the true honour comes from self care. Taking time to pause and enjoy the little things.

Allowing yourself to be present, be still, let your mind calm and the cloud of stress slowly disperse from your mind. All sounds great right - well how do you do it?

EASY - schedule in time for you, physically block it in your phone, your calendar or if you’re old school like me your physical paper diary. Blocking it out will put it front and centre of your mind and shows the importance is just as crucial as a doctors/ dentist or anything else you currently rate as high importance.

Make it a regular slot - AT LEAST once a month but ideally even an hour once a week will make more difference than you realise. You are important, your health is important, mental clarity is important. Self care can be anything that helps to calm your mind, from reading a book to going for a walk there are many things you can schedule for your personal self care, read below for our preferred choices!

Massage is the oldest form of medicine - but somehow along the way, it’s started to be seen as a luxury rather than a necessity. I’m here to remind you that your health is your responsibility, you only get one body, one mind so look after it and it will do wondrous things for you!

The benefits of massage are endless but some of the key ailments we experience within our branches which massage can help to alleviate are:

-Relieving muscular aches and pains
-Reducing anxiety
-Aid better sleep
-Reducing stress
-Reducing fluid retention
-Boosting energy levels
-Relieving headaches / migraines
-Promoting mental clarity
-Boosts immune system

The benefits of a 60min massage every 4-6 weeks are endless and all have been proven by science and endless research that regular massage can make a resounding impact to a person's overall health & wellbeing.

Unable to have a massage? Here's another Top Tip; Every Ailment or illness can be traced back to a deficiency in a mineral or vitamin within the body - yes you read that correctly it has been proven that we simply don’t consume / retain all the vitamins & minerals our bodies need to remain healthy. This is why we swear by our Akasha mineral bath salts - by bathing in mineral rich waters the natural minerals are absorbed into the body and can retain for up to 6 hours. So be it muscular tension, stress, fatigue, sleep troubles - our natural blended bath salts can make a resounding difference! If you haven’t tried them yet my favourite blend is the Revive bath salts - combining epsom & Himalayan salts with a Eucalyptus & rosemary blend for ultimate physical and mental revitalisation.

Allow yourself, your mind and body a break, just like sleep - when we pause is when we heal.

Allow yourself the time.
